Same date of birth, same date of enlistment
On the afternoon of February 6, two brothers Nguyen Ngoc Nhat Minh and Nguyen Ngoc Trung Hieu (Nam Phong 2 village, Kien Thiet commune, Tien Lang, Hai Phong) arrived at the district union hall early. Minh and Hieu were two of the new recruits with difficult circumstances who received gifts from the district Labor Federation.
Excitedly wearing the uniform of the border guards, Trung Hieu shared that this year, both brothers are old enough to join the army. However, because they are twins, Hieu was temporarily postponed from joining the army. However, joining the military has been the dream of both brothers for a long time, so Trung Hieu still decided to volunteer to join the army.
Nhat Minh is also very happy that the two brothers were born on the same day, grew up together and will soon join the army on the same day.
"Although we enlisted in two different units, we both encouraged each other to try our best to complete our tasks so that our parents and family could feel secure. After being discharged from the army, we hope to find good jobs to help our parents financially," Minh confided.
It is known that Minh and Hieu's family is relatively difficult because their parents are both freelancers with unstable income. Ms. Lien - mother of the twins Nhat Minh - Trung Hieu - emotionally said that she felt sorry for her parents working far away and having a hard time, so since childhood, the two brothers lived emotionally and unitedly. Now that the two children are preparing to join the army, Ms. Lien loves her children but more than that, she is proud when her children realize their responsibilities and obligations and volunteer to join the army.
Do good military rear policy
In 2025, 294 young people in Tien Lang district will join the army and participate in the people's public security service.
Among these, many new recruits have difficult circumstances such as Pham Van Quyet (born in 2006, Cap Tien commune, father passed away, mother is sick and no longer able to work), Cao Hoang Ma (born in 2007, father passed away, mother works in agriculture, unstable income), Nguyen Quoc Bao (born in 2004, Dai Thang commune, mother has a serious illness, father is often sick)...
Tien Lang district pays attention to doing a good job of the military rear, actively mobilizing departments, branches, organizations, and businesses located in the area to visit, encourage, and give gifts to young people preparing to join the army.
On the afternoon of February 6, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, the Labor Federation of the district and businesses presented each new recruit with 1 million VND.
"Although the gift is small, it is a show of concern and encouragement from the trade union and businesses to the new recruits. The District Labor Federation also pledges to be a bridge to jobs for young people who return to their locality after completing their military service, contributing to the district in ensuring social security as well as implementing good policies for the military's rear," said Nguyen Thi Huong, Chairwoman of the Tien Lang District Labor Federation.
