Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan has just signed and issued Decision No. 332/QD-UBND to dissolve the Nhon Market Management Board under the People's Committee of Bac Ninh city.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh City is responsible for deciding according to his authority or reporting to the competent authority for consideration and decision on the arrangement of organizations, civil servants, employees, finance, assets, data, documents, records (if any) and related issues to ensure compliance with the provisions of law and decentralization of the Provincial People's Committee. The decision takes effect from April 28, 2025.
According to the reporter's research, Nhon market is a large traditional market located in Tien An ward, Bac Ninh city (Bac Ninh province), invested in construction since 1991 with an area of 5,600m2, of which 360m2 is a campus, 340m2 is a traffic road, the area used for business activities is about 4,900m2 (including business locations and internal traffic).
Nhon Market Management Board is a public service unit under the People's Committee of Bac Ninh City established in 1995. Currently, Nhon Market Management Board manages 2 markets in the city including Nhon Market and Suoi Hoa Center Market.
According to the report of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh City on the current operation of the Nhon Market Management Board, in 3 years (from 2021 to December 2024), the Nhon Market Management Board has not operated effectively, the revenue from the management of Nhon Market and Suoi Hoa Market has decreased, leading to an imbalance between revenue and expenditure.
According to Clause 3, Article 5 of Decree No. 120/2020/ND-CP dated October 7, 2020 of the Government, the Nhon Market Management Board is eligible for dissolution according to regulations. Therefore, the People's Committee of Bac Ninh city believes that the dissolution of the Nhon Market Management Board is necessary.
