At about 8:30 am on September 13, the rescue and relief force of the Management Board of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area (Tay Ninh) received information that tourist P.H. A. D. (born 2003, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) fell at pillar 97 on Cot Dien street.
After approaching, the rescue force coordinated with the medical department to give first aid to the victim. Due to a broken arm, this tourist was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
About 15 minutes earlier, at 8:15 am, the medical team of the tourist area received the case of Mr. N.B. T.K. (born in 1999, residing in Tay Ninh) who slipped and fell also on the power pole road. The victim was torn in the hand by a bamboo shard.
The medical team cleaned, stopped bleeding, bandaged the wound, gave the victim pain relievers and advised him to go to the hospital to stitch and check the wound.
According to the Management Board of Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area, in the last 2 days of the week, the Ba Mountain area had rain, making the road slippery. This is the reason why travel, especially on mountain climbing routes, poses a potential safety risk.
From the above incidents, the Management Board recommends that tourists proactively monitor the weather before climbing mountains. When it rains, tourists should consider the risk of slippery roads; and register information at the security checkpoint, save rescue phone number 02763875678, prepare appropriate clothing, drinking water, medicine and personal first aid bags.
Visitors are also requested to go in groups of 2 or more, follow safety instructions and maintain environmental hygiene during climbing.
