Reader N.T asked: "I am 52 years old, retiring according to the regime in Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP, but the agency that hired me stays as an expert, so does the agency have to pay social insurance for me? ".
Responding to this issue, Thai Nguyen Provincial Social Insurance replied as follows:
In case the employee retires according to the regime of Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP and if he/she has enjoyed the pension regime, the employee does not have to pay social insurance.
In case the employee retires according to the regime of Decree No. 178/2024/ND-CP, has not yet enjoyed the pension regime and has signed a labor contract with the agency, the employee will continue to pay social insurance.
