On August 22, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung, Director of Hanoi City Police, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long, Colonel Le Van Tuan - Deputy Director of CATP and commanders of a number of functional departments visited and encouraged Captain Le Dinh Cong (officer of the CATP Mobile Police Department) and his family at 108 Central Military Hospital.
Captain Le Dinh Cong was injured while duty to protect the first training session of the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 on the evening of August 21.
At the hospital, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung and members of the delegation kindly visited the health status and encouraged Captain Cong and his family.
The Director of CATP acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility and courage "forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people" of Captain Cong in the process of performing the task of ensuring security and order, contributing to maintaining a peaceful life for the people.
On this occasion, Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung directly presented the Certificate of Merit of the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee to Captain Le Dinh Cong for his outstanding achievements in ensuring security and order to serve activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
The Director of CATP also sent his sincere thanks to the medical staff of the 108 Central Military Hospital for their wholehearted and dedicated treatment of comrade Le Dinh Cong through critical condition. At the same time, the Hospital is requested to continue to care for, care for, and treat comrade Cong to quickly recover, stabilize his health, and soon return to his family and teammates.
Lieutenant General Nguyen Thanh Tung also directed the Mobile Police Department to coordinate with functional units to urgently fully implement the regimes and policies according to regulations, creating conditions for Comrade Cong to feel secure in treatment as well as supporting and encouraging his family to best care for him.
Previously, at around 8:10 p.m. on August 21, Captain Cong was hit by two subjects riding a motorbike while on duty to ensure security and safety on the route to serve the training session to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
The authorities identified these two subjects as Nguyen Ba Hoai Nam (born in 2007, residing in Trung Oai village, Phuc Thinh commune, Hanoi) and Nguyen Van Quan (born in 2007, residing in Nam Cuong village, Tien Thang commune, Hanoi).
Currently, the Director of CATP has directed professional units to urgently investigate, consolidate records, and promptly bring the subjects out for strict handling according to the provisions of the law.
