Sending a question via the Government Electronic Information Portal, reader N.H.C said: "My company has been in operation since May 2025. May I ask, if I want to participate in social insurance for myself and 2 other employees, what procedures need to be done? ".
Regarding this issue, Vietnam Social Security responds as follows:
Pursuant to the provisions of law and Article 23 of the Procedure for collecting social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, unemployment insurance - Internal income tax, management of social insurance numbers for health insurance cards issued with Consolidated Document No. 2525/VBHN - Insurance Social Insurance dated August 15, 2023 of Vietnam Social Insurance; procedures for registering to participate in compulsory social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, unemployment insurance - Internal income tax for first-time participants are as follows:
Workers:
For employees who have not been issued a social insurance code: Declaration of participation, adjustment of social insurance and health insurance information (Form TK1-TS);
For employees who have been granted a social insurance code: provide a social insurance code to the employer;
In case the beneficiary of higher health insurance benefits: supplement supporting documents (if any) according to regulations.
Unit:
Declaration of participating units, adjusting social insurance and health insurance information (Form TK3-TS); Information statement table (Form D01-TS); Report on the situation of labor use and list of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance participants (Form D02-LT).
