Since the beginning of the year, the province has recorded 4 cases, including 1 death and many suspected cases.
Faced with this situation, the Provincial People's Committee requested localities to promote propaganda and guide people to strictly implement regulations on keeping dogs and cats in captivity and vaccinating against rabies for dogs and cats.
Pet owners must commit not to let pets roam freely; when taking dogs to public places, there must be muzzles, chains and people to lead them. The goal for 2026 is that over 80% of the total dog and cat population will be vaccinated.
Collectives, individuals and heads who are negligent and irresponsible in rabies prevention and control will be reviewed and strictly handled.
The Department of Finance is assigned to advise on allocating sufficient resources to effectively implement epidemic prevention measures according to the 2022-2030 plan.

Buon Don Commune People's Committee has announced a rabies epidemic in animals.
The threatening epidemic area within a radius of 3km includes Ea Mar, Tri, Ea Rong B hamlets and Thong Nhat village; the buffer zone of 10km includes Jang Lanh hamlet and Drang Phok hamlet.
