On October 30, according to the reporter's source, the Provincial People's Committee has just issued project No. 7700 on merging Viet Tri Construction Hospital into Phu Tho General Hospital, forming Facility 2 under Phu Tho General Hospital.
The project clearly states that after the merger, Phu Tho General Hospital will become a Grade I hospital with a scale of 1,750 beds.
Of which, 1,650 beds at the main facility and 100 beds at facility 2 are located in Thanh Mieu ward (current location of Viet Tri Construction Hospital).
The hospital's organizational structure includes a Director, 3 Deputy Directors; 8 functional departments, 21 specialized departments and 13 specialized treatment centers such as the Cardiovascular Center, Stroke Center, Oncology Center...
After the merger and reorganization, 1 public service unit in the province will be reduced; 2 leadership positions including 1 Director and 1 Deputy Director of the public service unit will be reduced.
According to the People's Committee of Phu Tho province, the merger aims to expand the scale of operations and reduce the burden on the Provincial General Hospital, which is under great pressure for medical examination and treatment.
At the same time, the facilities and equipment of Viet Tri Construction Hospital will be effectively utilized and exploited, avoiding waste.
The People's Committee of Phu Tho province requires the reorganization process to comply with regulations, not increase the number of people receiving salaries from the budget and not reduce the financial autonomy of Phu Tho General Hospital.
When established, the second facility will still be subject to unified management in terms of expertise, human resources and finance from the main facility.
