On the night of October 7, Truong Sa Island infirmary (Brigade 146, Naval Region 4) promptly received and provided emergency care to fisherman Nguyen Van Cha (born in 1980, from Khanh Hoa), working on fishing boat QNg 90789 TS, in a weak state in both legs, with pain in the upper body due to a stress relieve accident while diving deep into seafood.
Previously, on the evening of October 6, while fishing, Mr. Cha had dived about 25m deep, three times in a row, each time nearly an hour.
After rising from the water, he showed symptoms of severe abdominal pain, fatigue, and high blood pressure.
At 11 noon on October 7, DK1/9 Thuat (Ba Ke Cluster) received and provided initial first aid to the patient. After receiving initial stable treatment, Mr. Cha was instructed to move to Truong Sa island for further intensive treatment.
According to Captain, Doctor Nguyen Xuan Cuong - Head of Truong Sa Island infirmary, when admitted, the patient was alert but tired, had blood pressure of 140/100 mmHg, weakness in both legs, and was diagnosed with reduced type II aption, complications of thoracic damage.
The infirmary has urgently applied a treatment regimen including oxygen therapy, use of anticoagulants, anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, pain relievers, and epidemics, and at the same time consulted online with Military Hospital 175 to agree on a treatment direction.
Currently, the patient is being actively cared for, closely monitored for his health and maintained regular contact with Military Hospital 175 to adjust the appropriate treatment regimen.
