On October 6, according to information from the Thai Nguyen Provincial Military Command, the Military Region 1 Working Group inspected the recovery work after storm No. 10 and the response plan for storm No. 11 in the province.

At the meeting, the delegation noted the repair of the cracked and broken dike section in Group 33, Phan Dinh Phung Ward and prepared forces and means to be ready to deal with new developments in the weather.

According to the assessment, the circulation of storm No. 11 may cause heavy rain in the upstream area, causing the water level of Cau River to rise rapidly, likely to peak similar to storm Yagi in 2024.

If the rain continues, many residential areas along the river and low-lying areas are at risk of severe flooding, affecting people's lives and production.

The authorities are required to be on duty, proactively evacuate people in high-risk areas, and at the same time propagate for people to brace their houses and protect their property.
