Lao Cai - At the police station, the owner of the Facebook account "Unmarried Boy" admitted to posting false clips about the flood and landslide situation to increase interaction.

On August 22, Lao Cai Provincial Police said that Thuong Bang La Commune Police issued a decision to impose an administrative fine of 12.5 million VND on V.V.D (born in 1988, residing in Da village, Thuong Bang La commune) for the act of providing and sharing false information and untrue information on social networks.

Previously, through grasping the situation in cyberspace, Thuong Bang La Commune Police discovered a personal Facebook account named "Unmarried Boy" posting a 1-minute 14-second clip with the title "Rains and floods in the highlands, landslides have completely filled the roads, people".

Notably, this account attached the posting location in Da Do village (now Da village, Thuong Bang La commune), making viewers understand that the images in the clip reflect the actual flood and landslide situation in the locality.

Recognizing that the content showed signs of being fake and untrue, Thuong Bang La Commune Police quickly verified and clarified the account owner. The results determined that the Facebook account "Life Without Wife" was managed and used by V.V.D.

Working with the police agency, V.V.D admitted that the posted content was untrue and agreed to pay a fine of 12.5 million VND.

This person said that the purpose of posting the clip was to increase interaction and attract views for his personal Facebook page.
