A car driver driving in the wrong direction on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway was fined 35 million VND, the first case to be punished under Decree 168/2024.

According to information from Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 1 (Team 1, Traffic Police Department), the unit has just issued a fine of up to 35 million VND to a car driver driving in the wrong direction on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway.

Through the surveillance camera system on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway, the authorities discovered a car with license plate 19A- 444.XX going in the wrong direction on the highway at Km48 +700 (direction Lao Cai - Hanoi).

The process of the car going in the wrong direction caused many vehicles going in the right direction to slow down and avoid the road to avoid an accident. After discovering the incident, Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 1 invited the car driver to come in for questioning.
