Recycled waste such as plastic bottles, cans of water, paper and materials are collected, sorted, and then sold to raise funds to support people in difficult circumstances.

At Dong Nai Secondary School, the "green house" has become a part of students' daily activities.

After each lesson, students collect and sort plastic bottles, cans of water and recycled materials instead of putting them together in the trash.

Nguyen Quoc Truong, a student at Dong Nai Secondary School, shared: "Each plastic bottle collected not only helps the environment become cleaner, but also contributes a small part to help those in difficult circumstances.

According to teacher Bui Thi Nu, Head of the Team of Dong Nai Secondary School, the model helps students form the habit of sorting trash, while educating the spirit of mutual affection and responsibility to the community.

From school, this habit is brought home by students. Plastic bottles and cans of water are kept, sorted and then taken to the "green house", creating a binding activity between schools and families.

When garbage becomes a sharing fund

In hamlet 3, Cat Tien commune, women's union members and people also actively participate in collecting recyclable waste.

Each family keeps plastic bottles, cans of water, paper and sellable materials. When the quantity is sufficient, all kinds of trash are collected to sell for fundraising.

Ms. Do Thi Lien, Head of the Women's Union of Village 3, said: "We are always exemplary, encouraging women to collect together. This work both maintains environmental sanitation and creates funds to help people in difficult circumstances.

The fund is managed publicly, and revenue and expenditure are fully recorded. Although the value is not large, the money saved from many families is used to visit sick members, support women in difficult circumstances and disadvantaged students.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nuong - Chairwoman of the Cat Tien Commune Women's Union, said that in the coming time, the Union will continue to direct the fund to support livelihoods for women in difficult circumstances, helping members rise up to stabilize their lives, and at the same time replicate the model to branches.

Mr. Ho Quoc Phong - Secretary of the Party Committee of Cat Tien commune - said that the model not only contributes to raising environmental awareness but also spreads the spirit of sharing, turning recycled waste into resources to support the community.

In the coming time, the locality will continue to propagate and mobilize people to participate, maintain and replicate the model in the area.
