On the afternoon of September 12, according to information from the People's Committee of Bac Ha district, the Ministry of Public Security has increased 80 officers and soldiers to 2 landslide locations in Nam Luc commune, along with the province's functional forces, to urgently search and rescue.
Currently, the two landslides that caused deaths in Ban Cai hamlet, Nam Tong village and the Southeast Asia - Nam Luc Hydropower Plant Operation Center (Bac Ha) have a total of 350 people directly participating in search and rescue work.
The forces had to divide into many groups to approach the area to carry out rescue work and search for missing people because traffic was cut off and could not be restored.
It is known that to overcome the consequences of floods, units have mobilized maximum forces and means to carry out rescue work.
The provincial traffic management unit has mobilized 4 wheel loaders to repair the road to the commune and village center so that equipment and machinery can soon be brought in to overcome the consequences of floods and landslides in the area.
At the search site, hundreds of police officers, soldiers, and people were mobilized to overcome the consequences of floods and landslides.
Previously, at 2:00 p.m. on September 10, a serious landslide occurred in Ban Cai hamlet, Nam Tong village, Nam Luc commune, Bac Ha district.
Nam Tong village has 15 households with 80 people living there. The landslide completely buried 8 houses, leaving 7 people dead, 11 missing and 11 injured.
