On June 18, the Border Guard Command (BĐBP) of Da Nang City said that it had just coordinated to successfully rescue fishing vessel ĐNa-90981-TS which was breached while operating in the waters of Da Nang Bay.

According to a quick report from the Border Guard Command of Da Nang City, at 2:30 am on June 18, the City Border Guard Operations Headquarters received a report from Son Tra Border Guard Station about fishing vessel ĐNa-90981-TS being breached while operating at sea.
Previously, at about 1:55 am on the same day, fishing vessel ĐNa-90981-TS operating at position 16°06'N - 108°14'E, in the Da Nang Bay area, was breached and showed signs of sinking. The captain sent a signal requesting urgent rescue.
Immediately after receiving the information, at 2:50 am, the unit dispatched ship BP 08. 1201 and 8 officers and soldiers of Border Guard Flotilla 2 to the scene to assist in rescue.
Through verification, fishing vessel ĐNa-90981-TS is 19.2m long, 845CV capacity, captained by Mr. Truong Thanh Son (born 1978, residing in Son Tra ward, Da Nang city). There are 10 crew members on board, departing from Man Quang Border Guard Station under Son Tra Border Guard Station on June 3, 2026.
Da Nang City Border Guard Command has directed Son Tra Border Guard Station to maintain contact with fishing boats to grasp the situation, and at the same time directed Border Guard Flotilla 2 to deploy forces and vehicles to urgently support rescue and coordinate with the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region 2 to propose rescue and relief plans.
At 8:30 am on the same day, Da Nang City Border Guard Command said that fishing vessel ĐNa-90981-TS had been towed to Tho Quang fishing port safely.
