On the afternoon of April 15, Colonel Tran Tien Hien - Commander of the Border Guard Command of Da Nang City - said that the rescue force of Border Guard Flotilla 1 had just promptly rescued 2 crew members on fishing vessel DNa 91009-TS that sank at sea safely.
At 1:25 PM on the same day, Border Guard Flotilla 1 received a report from Mr. Tran Quoc Dat (32 years old, residing in Quang Ngai province), captain of fishing vessel DNa 91009-TS, about the vessel encountering an incident while operating in the area about 4 nautical miles from the coast of Thang Truong commune, Da Nang city.

According to initial information, the fishing boat sank due to water breach. At the time of the incident, there were 2 workers on board. To ensure safety, the crew members went down to the basket boat to wait for rescue.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Border Guard Command of Da Nang City mobilized ship BP 08-15-03 and officers and soldiers to urgently maneuver to the scene to organize search and rescue.
By the afternoon of the same day, the rescue force had approached the scene, safely rescued 2 crew members and put them on the vehicle of the Border Guard force.
The rescue vessel is bringing 2 crew members ashore safely, and at the same time continuing to monitor and ensure safety for people and vehicles in distress.
