The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Dao Ngoc Dung.
Reporting at the ceremony, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that in recent years, the Party Committee, government and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Binh Dinh have strongly directed the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses and supporting the construction and repair of houses for poor households and policy households. This is a task associated with the emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind".
In the 2020-2025 period, Binh Dinh province has supported the construction and repair of houses for 9,888 households, of which 7,048 were newly built and 2,840 were repaired, with a total cost of more than 547 billion VND. In the 2020-2024 period alone, before the Prime Minister launched the movement, the province has supported 5,477 households, with an implementation cost of more than 239 billion VND.
After the Prime Minister launched the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", Binh Dinh province continued to implement support for 4,411 households in need, with a total implementation cost of more than 307 billion VND. As of May 2025, this work has been completed, 7 months ahead of schedule.
Implemented with the spirit of " daring to do, daring to take responsibility"
At the ceremony, Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Dao Ngoc Dung praised and highly appreciated the results of the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Binh Dinh. Along with economic development, Binh Dinh always cares about social security work, taking care of people with meritorious services and vulnerable groups with the spirit of "leaving no one behind". After only 3 months of simultaneous launch, the whole province has completed the entire program.
The Minister emphasized that the work of erasing temporary houses and leaking houses in Binh Dinh is very different, when the province "tells the truth, doing true, effective and the people enjoy it". Binh Dinh has a much higher average rate than the common ground, this is very good. On average, every day, the province repaired and built 32 new houses, while many localities had richer economic conditions than only about 26 units/day.
Binh Dinh is one of the localities that know how to make the most of social resources. With the spirit of " daring to do, daring to take responsibility", the province has proactively contributed the entire budget and mobilized socialization to eliminate more than 2,000 houses for households with revolutionary contributions, in the context that the Central Government has not been able to allocate capital due to completing procedures.
The Minister shared: "This morning, before leaving for work, the Prime Minister sent his congratulations to Binh Dinh province and households that received meaningful gifts from the Party, State and people to each family. The Prime Minister also welcomed Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung and the provincial leadership with their drastic, creative, innovative and effective approaches".
The Minister suggested that Binh Dinh soon summarize the experience in the program implementation process, to serve as a basis for reporting at the national summarization conference. At the same time, continue to pay more attention to policy beneficiaries, carefully review so that no one is left behind.
"I promise to propose high rewards for Binh Dinh," said the Minister.
Acquiring the guidance, Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee Secretary Ho Quoc Dung said that in just 136 days, the province mobilized the political system, people of all classes and business community to join hands to support the construction and repair of 4,411 houses, exceeding the central progress. This result shows the spirit of determination, high responsibility and the strong participation of the whole province.
Mr. Ho Quoc Dung also expressed his sincere thanks and praised the leaders of the district-level localities for their efforts to overcome difficulties and excellently complete tasks in the period of restructuring the administrative apparatus. This is a memorable mark before the district-level government completed its historic mission.
