In recent years, the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses and supporting the construction and repair of houses for poor households and policy households has always been strongly directed by the Party Committee, government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Binh Dinh. This is a task associated with the emulation movement "For the poor - No one is left behind".
Implementing the Prime Minister's direction on promoting support for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses, the entire political system and people of Binh Dinh province have actively responded to the movement in the spirit of "Whoever has something helps others", striving to complete it in May 2025.
In the 2020-2025 period, Binh Dinh province has supported the construction and repair of houses for 9,888 households, of which 7,048 were newly built and 2,840 were repaired, with a total cost of more than 547 billion VND. In the 2020-2024 period alone, before the Prime Minister launched the movement, the province has supported 5,477 households, with an implementation cost of more than 239 billion VND.
After the Prime Minister launched the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", Binh Dinh province continues to support 4,411 households in need (2,531 new households will be built, 1,880 households will be repaired). As of May 2025, all of these households have been started, built, repaired and put into use, reaching 100% of the set plan, 7 months ahead of the Prime Minister's direction.
The total budget implemented in this period is more than 307 billion VND, of which the State budget is more than 208 billion VND; the non-budgetary mobilized capital is more than 44 billion VND; the loans from the Social Policy Bank are 54 billion VND; the rest are contributions in working days, construction materials from the People and organizations.
Districts, towns and cities in the province have mobilized nearly 32 billion VND, more than 6,100 working days, 577 tons of cement, 51,000 bricks...; The Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee mobilized more than 12 billion VND and 22,628 working days, along with more than 17 tons of cement...; The Provincial Military Command and militia at all levels contributed more than 3,300 working days, supporting 269 vehicles to transport more than 1,100 tons of construction materials to households, including remote communes such as Canh Lien (Van Canh district).
According to Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan, the program is organized and implemented with the motto "clear people, clear work, clear progress, clear results, clear responsibilities". Thanks to the determination from the province to the grassroots, problems related to land, capital, resources, construction material mines, etc. were all resolved promptly, contributing significantly to the early completion of the set goals.
Binh Dinh Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung, Head of the Program Steering Committee, highly appreciated the spirit of solidarity, responsibility and the synchronous participation of the entire political system, people, businesses and social organizations.
Mr. Ho Quoc Dung requested that after completing the program, localities need to continue to closely monitor the grassroots, regularly review and detect cases of housing difficulties to promptly propose support in the next phase, aiming for the goal of all people to settle down, no more temporary houses, dilapidated houses.
