AI cameras "detect errors" 24/24, vehicles parked incorrectly in Hanoi have no way to avoid

Hanoi - AI cameras help traffic police detect vehicles stopping and parking in violation of regulations, thereby conducting remote fines.

In many central streets of Hanoi, especially in densely populated areas such as hospital gates, train stations, bus stations, schools..., the situation of cars stopping and parking arbitrarily is still common.

These violations not only obstruct traffic but also pose a risk of accidents, affecting urban order and aesthetics.

According to the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) - Hanoi City Police, direct handling of the above violations faces many difficulties when vehicles usually only stop for a short time and quickly leave when functional forces are present.

Especially during peak hours, the increased density of vehicles further puts pressure on the control work at the scene.

Faced with that reality, the AI camera system put into operation by the Hanoi Traffic Police force has shown clear effectiveness. Illegal parking and stopping behaviors are recorded continuously 24/24h.

Automatically extracted license plate data, stored for verification and processing in the form of "cold fines". Thereby, violations are gradually reduced, while ensuring objectivity in the processing process.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Khuong - Deputy Head of the Traffic Command and Traffic Light Control Team (Hanoi Traffic Police Department) said that the deployment of AI cameras not only helps detect violations quickly but also creates a clear change in the awareness of traffic participants.

Through monitoring on the system, compliance with regulations has been improved, from stopping and parking to complying with traffic signals," said Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Khuong.

Representatives of the Hanoi Traffic Control Center also affirmed that AI cameras allow early detection of abnormalities, thereby supporting the coordination of forces to handle them promptly.

Strengthening the application of technology is helping the Hanoi Traffic Police Department gradually handle traffic bottlenecks, especially on key streets with prolonged illegal stopping and parking.

Hanoi Traffic Police Department recommends that people raise their awareness of law compliance when participating in traffic, not stopping or parking in prohibited areas or crowded places.

All violations can be detected and handled through the surveillance camera system, even when there are no functional forces at the scene.
