On October 23, authorities in Bao Lam district (Lam Dong) identified the origin of a large crack on a hill in Loc Tan commune.
The large crack on the hill used to be a ditch, located between the gardens of two households. Over time, due to heavy rains, water flowed down from the top of the hill, causing the current erosion.
Currently, the People's Committee of Bao Lam district has directed Loc Tan commune to put up danger warning signs in the hill area and along the residential road leading to the production area of Coc hamlet (village 4) so that people can proactively prevent possible dangers.
Regarding this incident, people living near the hill are extremely worried when they discovered many other cracks appearing on the top of the hill.
The most frightening of these is the crack, which is more than 1 meter wide, looking like a "melon-cutting" knife mark, extending from the top of the hill down to the people's production area.
