Resolution No. 1192/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Can Tho City in the period of 2023 - 2025 will officially take effect from November 1.
According to the Department of Home Affairs of Can Tho City, the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Ninh Kieu district is carried out by merging the entire natural area and population size of An Phu, An Cu, and An Nghiep wards into Thoi Binh ward.
After merging 4 wards into 1 ward, there are about 180 redundant personnel, including cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, non-professional personnel, police, and ward health workers. Therefore, the city is looking for solutions to support the redundant personnel.
Can Tho City is seeking comments and feedback on the draft Resolution to support redundant cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers due to the rearrangement of commune-level administrative units.
According to the draft, the redundant subjects are cadres, civil servants, and public employees who retire from the time of the arrangement decision until before the end of the arrangement roadmap, in addition to enjoying one of the policies on retirement, early retirement, staff streamlining, severance, and allowances according to regulations, they will also enjoy additional support from the city.
In particular, for cadres, if they take leave within 12 months from the date of the decision on arrangement, for each month of leave compared to the end of the term, they will receive a subsidy equal to 1/2 month of current salary; if they take leave after 12 months, they will receive 1/4 month of current salary.
For subjects who retire before the end of their term, the number of months of benefits is calculated by the number of months of leave before the retirement date.
For civil servants and public employees, if they take leave within 12 months from the date of the decision, for each month of leave before the end of the roadmap for resolving redundant civil servants and public employees according to the decision, they will receive a subsidy equal to 1/2 month of current salary; if they take leave after 12 months, they will receive a subsidy equal to 1/4 month of current salary.
For those who retire before the end of the arrangement roadmap, the number of months of benefits will also be calculated by the number of months of leave before the retirement date...
In case redundant subjects of agencies and organizations due to the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, if they do not meet the conditions or are not eligible for the regimes and policies on retirement, early retirement, staff streamlining, severance, and allowances according to Government regulations, if they retire immediately from the date of decision by the competent authority, they will be supported once for each year of work equal to 1 month of current salary and allowances.
Currently, this draft is receiving attention from redundant officials, civil servants and public employees, because the provisions of the draft support these subjects to have more income to stabilize their lives, especially for those in the stage of looking for a new job.
After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Can Tho City has 9 district-level administrative units, including 5 districts and 4 counties; 80 commune-level administrative units, including 36 communes, 39 wards and 5 towns.
Ninh Kieu district alone has 8 wards, of which Thoi Binh ward has a natural area of 1.99km2 and a population of 56,364 people.
