Appointment of 2 Deputy General Directors of Viettel Group

    The Ministry of National Defense has just held a ceremony to announce and award the decision to appoint two personnel to the position of Deputy General Director of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel).

    According to the Government Electronic Information Portal on November 3, the Ministry of National Defense just held a ceremony to announce and hand over decisions on personnel work in Hanoi.

    At this ceremony, General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, presented Decision No. 420/QDD-BQP and Decision No. 468/QDD-BQP dated November 1, 2024 on the appointment of Senior Lieutenant Colonel Cao Anh Son and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dat to the position of Deputy General Director of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel).

    Previously, Viettel's leadership included: Major General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of the Group; Major General Nguyen Dinh Chien, Party Secretary, Deputy General Director; Deputy General Directors: Major General Do Minh Phuong, Colonel Dao Xuan Vu.

    Lieutenant Colonel Cao Anh Son was born in 1975 and started working at Viettel in 2000 as a technical engineer.

    During his 24 years of service, Lieutenant Colonel Cao Anh Son has held many positions such as: Head of Billing Department, Director of International Business Center of Viettel Telecom Corporation, Deputy Head of Information Technology Department of the Group, Deputy General Director of Viettel International Investment Joint Stock Corporation (VTG), General Director of Viettel Star Telecom Company (Unitel).

    Before being appointed Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, Lieutenant Colonel Cao Anh Son was General Director of Viettel Telecommunication Corporation (Viettel Telecom).

    Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dat was born in 1981 and started working at Viettel in 2008, holding many positions, from system administrator to manager, holding important positions.

    Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dat has twice held the position of Head of the Group's Technical Department and twice held the position of head of Viettel Network Corporation (VTNet).

    Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dat also held the position of General Director of Movitel (Viettel Mozambique) and General Director of Vietnam International Investment Joint Stock Corporation (VTG).

    Before being appointed Deputy General Director of Viettel Group, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dat was General Director of Viettel Network Corporation.
