According to the flood warning of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Hydrometeorological Station, from the night of August 18 to August 21, the Cau River and other rivers and streams in the province are likely to experience a flood, with a flood amplitude of 1-3m.
During this flood, the peak flood water level on the Cau River at the stations: Bac Kan, Thac Rieng is forecast to be at alarm level 1 to alarm level 2; Gia Bay station below alarm level 1.
The meteorological and hydrological agency warns of the risk of flooding in urban areas; flooding in low-lying areas, submerged areas, spillways and areas along rivers and streams.
The possibility of flash floods occurring on small streams in mountainous areas, landslides at slopes, positive slopes, residential areas, and traffic routes. Disaster risk level due to floods is level 1.
Rising water on rivers and streams can cause flash floods, landslides, flooding in riverside areas and low-lying areas, affecting agricultural production and residential areas.
