On August 18, the People's Committee of Ham Thuan Bac commune (Lam Dong province) coordinated with the Commune Police, the People's Procuracy of Region 12, and the Ham Thuan Bac Regional Forest Protection Department to start construction of the "Great Unity" house for Mr. Tran Quoc Dung's family in Phu Thuan village.
Mr. Dung's family is one of the households affected by floods in 2025. For many years, the family has lived in a temporary house built from old wooden pillars and corrugated iron.
After a period of use, plus the impact of rain and floods, the house deteriorated and was no longer safe. Meanwhile, difficult economic circumstances prevented the family from being able to build a solid house.
Sharing this difficulty, agencies, units and philanthropists agreed to support the family to build a new house.

The project has an area of 44 m2, with a total estimated cost of 70 million VND from contributions and support from organizations, units and philanthropists. In which, Ham Thuan Bac Commune Police mobilized 10 boxes of ceramic tiles and officers and soldiers rotated to contribute working days. The house is expected to be completed in more than a month.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, representatives of units visited and encouraged the family. The forces also agreed to coordinate and support in the construction process, striving to put the house into use soon.

The project is expected to help Mr. Dung's family have a solid and safe place to live before the rainy and flood season.
This is also an activity continuing the "For the Poor" Fund mobilization program, showing the spirit of mutual affection and the community's joint efforts with families in difficult circumstances.
