On February 25, the Lam Dong Department of Health said that from February 14 - 2026 (Lunar New Year holiday), the whole province recorded 611 traffic accident cases coming for examination at medical facilities.

According to statistics from Lam Dong Hospital II, out of more than 100 hospitalizations due to traffic accidents during Tet, there were more than 30 cases of motorcyclists falling on their own. Through inspection, most of these cases used alcohol and beer.
Doctor Le Khac Dao, Deputy Director of Lam Dong Hospital II, said that the number of emergency cases and treatments due to traffic accidents related to alcohol and beer tends to increase during the Tet holiday, posing a risk of death and leaving consequences for society.

Not only increasing traffic accidents, alcohol and beer are also the cause of many serious conflicts and fights.
According to the General Surgery Department, Binh Thuan Regional General Hospital, recently the unit received 5 cases of heart perforation due to weapons. All patients were saved thanks to timely emergency care and activation of the whole hospital's red alert.
Notably, these cases all originate from conflicts after using alcohol or right at the drinking table. With heart wounds, if not intervened in time, the risk of death is very high.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tiep, Head of the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police, during the 9-day Tet holiday, the traffic police force controlled nearly 24,000 vehicles; made records and handled 3,582 violations; temporarily seized 754 vehicles. Among them, there were 690 cases of alcohol concentration violations.
Regarding the case of a pickup truck dragging a motorbike, killing 1 person, which occurred on February 20 in Phan Thiet ward (Lam Dong), the Investigation Police Agency has prosecuted and urgently arrested Pham Quoc Huy, the pickup truck driver. The test results showed that the alcohol concentration in this driver's blood was 123.86 mg/dL.
In another development, K'Jao (25 years old, residing in Ward 3, Bao Loc) due to frequent use of alcohol and beer, repeatedly threw stones at the roof of his neighbor's house.

When the police force came to work, the subject used a crowbar to attack, causing a police officer of Ward 3 Bao Loc to break his leg.
Functional agencies warn people to use alcohol and beer in moderation, absolutely do not drive vehicles after drinking alcohol and beer; and at the same time control behavior, avoid conflicts arising leading to unfortunate consequences.
