In the early morning of August 4, the Fire and Rescue Police force of Hanoi City Police promptly rescued 2 people trapped in a 3-story house fire in Ha Dong ward.
At about 2 am on August 4, a 3-story house, with an area of about 40m2 per floor, located in alley 8 Tan Da street, Ha Dong ward, Hanoi city, suddenly caught fire.
According to police, the house is located deep in a small alley, making it difficult to access and deploy fire fighting equipment.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Team of Area No. 15, Fire and Rescue Police Department, Hanoi City Police dispatched 2 fire trucks and 12 officers and soldiers to the scene to organize firefighting and rescue.
Through reconnaissance, functional forces determined that the fire originated from the 1st floor area, with an area of about 5m2. The initial cause was determined to be a motorbike short circuit.
The fire created a large amount of smoke and toxic gas, quickly engulfing the staircase area, threatening people on the upper floors.
The Fire and Rescue Police force quickly deployed formations, controlled the fire on the 1st and 2nd floors, preventing the fire from spreading to adjacent houses. At the same time, officers and soldiers organized the search for people trapped in dense smoke conditions.
During the firefighting process, functional forces discovered 2 people trapped on the 3rd floor. Officers and soldiers approached, guided and directly took the 2 victims out safely.
At about 2:25 am on the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. The fire did not cause any casualties.
Property damage is being statistically analyzed and clarified by functional agencies.
