Passenger car catches fire on Ho Chi Minh road, 11 people escape in time

Dak Lak - A passenger car suddenly caught fire while traveling on the Ho Chi Minh road, fortunately 11 people on the car managed to escape.

On July 30, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT), Dak Lak Provincial Police informed that functional agencies are investigating and clarifying the cause of the passenger car fire that occurred on Ho Chi Minh road (Ea Hleo commune section).

According to initial information, at about 4:50 PM on July 30th, at Km1673+550 of the Ho Chi Minh road, passing through hamlet 3, Ea Hleo commune, a passenger car with license plate 47H-048.XX caught fire.

At the time of the incident, the car was driven by driver V.H. T (residing in Cuor Dang commune, Dak Lak province), traveling in the direction of Dak Lak - Hue. There were 8 passengers, 2 drivers and 1 assistant driver on the car.

While traveling, the driver detected smoke rising from the front of the car, so he quickly pulled the vehicle to the side of the road.

Immediately after that, the driver and assistant driver urgently guided all passengers to leave the car, and at the same time moved their luggage out. Thanks to timely handling, all 11 people on the car were safe, and no one was injured.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Department (PC07), Dak Lak Provincial Police dispatched officers and soldiers to the scene to control the fire. Traffic police were also present to divert and regulate traffic, avoid congestion and coordinate to support taking people and property out of the car.

The fire damaged the passenger car, with initial estimated damage of over 100 million VND.
