According to initial information, at about 3:55 PM on August 1st, the Command Information Center of Hanoi City Police received a fire report inside a furniture company in Van Giap village, Thuong Tin commune (Hanoi).
Immediately after that, the Command Information Center mobilized forces and vehicles from the Fire and Rescue Team (CC&CNCH) area No. 32 to the scene. At the same time, the CC&CNCH Team area 31 participated in support.
The area where the fire occurred was identified as being in a factory of about 800m2, with a mezzanine brick wall structure and a corrugated iron roof. The location of the fire is a gathering place for sawdust and scrap, with a burned area of about 30m2. The fire created many columns of black smoke billowing up.
At the time of discovering the fire, company employees used the pumping system and hoses equipped at the company to initially extinguish the fire.
Immediately upon approaching the scene, officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police continued to organize water spraying to extinguish embers, cool down and remove smoke to prevent the fire from spreading.

At about 4:30 pm on the same day, the fire was completely extinguished.
The fire did not cause any casualties. Property damage is being统计 by functional agencies.
Initially, functional forces determined that the cause of the fire may have originated from a system and electrical equipment failure.
Functional agencies are continuing to examine the scene, investigate, and clarify the cause of the fire.
