On April 27, Lai Chau Provincial Police said that the task force of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department) helped a child escape an electric shock accident while playing at Then Kin Pang festival (Water Festival) in Phong Tho commune.
Previously, at about 3 pm on April 26, in the bustling atmosphere of the Then Kin Pang festival, Hoang Gia Bao (born in 2016, residing in Son Binh village, Phong Tho commune) was unfortunately electrocuted while playing at the festival.
The preliminary cause was determined to be due to electric wires of a car wash machine in this area being exposed and leaking electricity in the humid environment of the water throwing festival, leading to the accident.

Immediately upon discovering the incident, a task force of Road Traffic Police Team No. 1, which was on duty to ensure traffic order and safety at the festival, immediately arrived.
Realizing that the baby had fallen into a critical condition, Senior Lieutenant Truong Van Tuyen directly carried the baby from the scene to a clear area.
Here, the working group coordinated with people to urgently implement on-site first aid measures such as chest compressions to maintain the victim's heart rate.
Immediately after that, the working group used a specialized car, turned on the priority horn to take the baby to Phong Tho Commune Health Station (old Muong So) and continued to transfer him to Phong Tho Medical Center for in-depth emergency treatment.
Thanks to the timely "golden hour" intervention of traffic police officers, Bao has now passed the critical condition, his health is gradually stabilizing and is being continuously monitored by doctors.
