According to statistics, during the holiday season, the traffic volume in the area increased dramatically, especially at the Cau Bach Dang Toll Station - the gateway to the province. Every day, more than 35,000 vehicles pass through the station, peak days up to more than 40,000 trips, three times higher than normal days.
On May 1 alone, more than 20,000 people gathered at Bai Chay tourist area to attend the 2025 Ha Long Carnival festival. The density of vehicles has increased dozens of times, but thanks to the synchronous implementation of traffic diversion and regulation solutions, the traffic situation is still guaranteed to be smooth and without prolonged congestion.
During the 5 days of the holiday, the authorities detected and handled more than 600 cases of traffic safety violations, including 8 violations on inland waterways. 110 vehicles were temporarily detained.
The whole province recorded 5 traffic accidents, killing 1 person, injuring 5 others - reducing 3 cases and 3 deaths compared to the same period in 2024.
The Traffic Police force in the whole province has mobilized 100% of the force, closely coordinating with other functional forces to remotely divert traffic, check waterway traffic safety, and increase patrols in key tourist areas. In addition to fixed checkpoints, many mobile patrol teams are maintained to keep the area closed, promptly detect and handle violations of the law on the traffic route, contributing to maintaining security, order and safety for people and tourists.
In supporting people, the Traffic Police force has promptly helped many cases of lost children find their relatives. In the first 3 days of the holiday alone, the Traffic Police Department supported 9 cases of lost children and handed them over safely to their families.
The traffic police force also used a specialized vehicle to take 2 young children with abdominal pain and 1 person who had an accident to the hospital for emergency care on the night of May 1.
The practical and timely activities of the Quang Ninh Traffic Police force not only contribute to ensuring traffic order and safety but also leave a good impression on people and tourists when coming to the locality during the holiday season.
