On June 15, according to the reporter's source, the People's Committee of Cao Bang province has just issued a decision to reclaim more than 63 hectares of land leased to Dong Tam Agricultural and Forestry Cooperative to implement a project to plant large timber forests and plant medicinal plants under forest canopy in Binh Duong commune, Hoa An district. The area recovered is 633,280.6m2, including 610,857.9m2 of production forest land which is natural forest and 22,422.7m2 of inter-hamlet traffic land. This land will be assigned to the People's Committee of Binh Duong commune for management in accordance with the provisions of the 2024 Land Law.
The recovery is carried out simultaneously with the adjustment of Decision No. 704/QD-UBND dated June 11, 2024, in which the land lease area was adjusted down from 2,873,216m2 to 2,239,935.4m2.
The land use boundary is also updated according to the new boundary level measured and drawn by the Cao Bang Provincial Land Registration Office and approved on May 8, 2025.
The People's Committee of Cao Bang province requires Dong Tam Cooperative to strictly comply with the recovery, dismantling of assets (if any) and coordinate the handover of land.
At the same time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment is responsible for presiding over land handover, land information transfer, and coordinating with the Tax Department of Region VI to determine the financial obligations of the cooperative. The Tax Department of Region VI will calculate and notify the land rent payable.
The People's Committees of Hoa An district and Binh Duong commune are also assigned the task of inspecting, guiding and receiving management of the recovered land in accordance with regulations.
The contents that are not adjusted are still implemented according to Decision No. 704/QD-UBND previously. The new decision takes effect from the date of signing and has been posted on the Cao Bang Provincial Electronic Information Portal to ensure publicity and transparency in land management in the area.
