Accordingly, on the morning of May 2, during a patrol on the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon route, the Task Force of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 5 (Room 6, Traffic Police Department) discovered a man (residing in Hoai Nhon area) cycling on the highway.

Through verification, functional forces determined that this person had cognitive problems, leading to violations. The working group supported to remove the man from the highway, and at the same time reminded and requested to stop the act.
In the afternoon of May 3, the patrol force continued to discover a man driving a motorbike in the opposite direction near the expressway intersection through Hoai Nhon area.

The working group immediately requested to stop the vehicle, guided to turn around and leave the expressway, and propagated regulations prohibiting motorbikes from circulating on the route.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Xuan Thuong - Head of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 5, these are just some typical cases in a series of dangerous violations discovered after a short time of opening traffic on the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh expressway sections.

Notably, on the expressway section passing through Nghia Hanh area (Quang Ngai), a situation appeared where people arbitrarily opened protective fences to sell water along the road. The water stall owner also used a self-made handwheel to transfer water and receive money from drivers traveling on the expressway.

To thoroughly prevent violations, the force strengthens patrols and inspections throughout the route; propagates, warns and requests people to comply with traffic regulations," Lieutenant Colonel Le Xuan Thuong said.

Previously, on the morning of April 29, Highway Traffic Police Team No. 5 discovered a car with license plate 77A-342. xx running in the opposite direction on the highway section passing through Phu My Tay commune (Gia Lai), about 40 minutes before the highway opening ceremony.
Functional forces quickly locked the road, stopped the vehicle and took the driver to the headquarters to work. The car driver (residing in Quy Nhon area) explained that because he was traveling on the Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon expressway for the first time, he could not find a way out, so he drove in the opposite direction.
For the act of driving a car in the opposite direction on the highway, the driver was fined 30-40 million VND and deducted 10 points from his driver's license.
