Notably, last night, a 10-meter-long section of the Lo River dike through Quyet Thang Commune, Son Duong District was confirmed to have broken. Informing Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Giang Tuan Anh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Son Duong District confirmed that the Lo River dike through Quyet Thang Commune had broken due to high river water.
"The broken dike is about 10m long, bordering Hop Nhat commune of Doan Hung district, Phu Tho. Previously, there were signs of water leakage at this location, so the evacuation of people in the area at risk of being affected was carried out, so there were no casualties. Response work is being actively carried out by forces and people," said Mr. Giang Tuan Anh.
