On September 7, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee issued an official dispatch directing the Provincial Department of Industry and Trade to strengthen and accelerate progress, and handle problems related to power grid projects being implemented in the province.
Along with the simultaneous development of dozens of large and small renewable energy power projects, the provincial government focuses on removing difficulties in site clearance to quickly construct the transmission system.
The synchronously invested power source and grid will help stabilize capacity discharge, avoiding waste and loss of social resources.
Regarding transmission grid projects, for the 110kV connection project after the 220kV An Khe substation, the province requests the People's Committee of An Khe ward and the People's Committee of Cuu An commune to urgently complete dossiers, organize coercion and develop plans, and organize construction protection according to regulations.
Regarding the 110kV Pleime Substation and connection project, the Provincial People's Committee criticized the Department of Agriculture and Environment for not strictly implementing the direction, not reviewing and guiding Ia Pia Commune People's Committee to handle problems with compensation and support prices for rubber trees of a household.
In case of failure to complete on time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment must organize self-criticism and clarify the responsibilities of relevant collectives and individuals.
The province requests Ia Pia Commune People's Committee to continue to mobilize households to receive compensation money; in case households still intentionally do not agree, coercion will be organized.
As Lao Dong Newspaper reported, in mid-July 2026, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee sent an official letter to the Prime Minister proposing recommendations to remove difficulties in the transmission grid system and relieve power capacity.
Over the past time, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee has focused on synchronously implementing solutions to attract investment in power source projects according to the approved plan.
However, what is worrying is that currently the transmission grid system to relieve capacity has not been synchronously invested by the electricity industry with the development speed of power source projects.
Especially the 220kV transmission grid. The most urgent is in the Krong Pa area (220kV Krong Pa substation and 220kV Krong Pa - Chu Se transmission line). This area currently has 5 renewable energy plants operating with a total capacity of 113.3 MW and 7 renewable energy projects under construction, expected to be put into operation by the end of 2027 with a total capacity of 202.24 MW.
