Passion for creativity
Born in 1993, graduated with a degree in Control and Automation Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Long started working at Dong Hoi Power Company. In 2022, he was transferred to the dieu dieu khien phong - Quang Binh Power System Control Center, where many modern technologies and experienced colleagues converged. This working environment has motivated him to constantly learn, be creative, and contribute to the development of the provincial electricity system.
During my time working here, I have been fortunate to receive enthusiastic support from my colleagues and the support of the department's leaders as well as the Company. That helps me have the opportunity to realize research ideas and develop initiatives to improve the efficiency of the power system operation, Mr. Long shared.
For 3 consecutive years (2021-2023), Mr. Long has had many recognized initiatives, helping to optimize operational efficiency and save costs for businesses. Some specific innovations include the SCADA system safety and security monitoring solution at Quang Binh Control Center to help operate the system stably, minimizing the risk of information leakage and network attacks; software to support the configuring and management of the 3G/4G Router Modem to shorten the configuring time from 60 minutes to 5 minutes for each device, minimizing errors, and improving management efficiency.
The special feature of these initiatives is that they all take advantage of existing tools, do not require additional investment costs but still bring high efficiency, helping the Company save resources and improve operational efficiency.
Thanks to these contributions, in 2023, Mr. Long was honored to receive the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level of the Central Power Corporation. He also won the Second Prize at the 10th Quang Binh Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Competition (2022-2023) and the Encouragement Prize at the Quang Binh Provincial Youth Informatics Competition in 2024.
Continuous dedication
Not only good at his profession, Mr. Long is also an enthusiastic union member, actively participating in the activities of the Youth Union and the Company's volunteer movement. He regularly participates in humanitarian blood donation programs, supports people in flooded areas, and promotes safe and economical use of electricity.
Mr. Long confided: As a young engineer, I always desire to research and be creative. Each initiative is the result of concern, effort and passion for work. More importantly, my contributions have received recognition from my colleagues and leaders, which is the motivation for me to continue to contribute. I am proud to be able to contribute a small part to the development of the Company and the community.
With the spirit of continuous learning, Mr. Nguyen Nhat Long is a testament to the model of a young engineer of the new era - daring to think, daring to do, creating to contribute. His initiatives and contributions not only help improve the operational efficiency of the electricity industry, but also inspire the younger generation to dare to pursue passion and innovation.
