On February 2, Mr. Nguyen Duc Sam, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phong Binh commune (Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province) confirmed that a tragic drowning incident had just occurred in the area.
Previously, on the afternoon of February 1, H.X.H (8 years old, residing in Gio Chau commune, Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province) and some other children were playing in the yard of the house in team 6 (Lan Dinh village, Phong Binh commune, Gio Linh district).
At around 3:00 p.m. the same day, the family did not see H. They searched for him but could not find him, so they reported it to the authorities.
Upon receiving information that baby H was missing, authorities and local people organized a search. At around 9:00 p.m. the same day, they discovered baby H's body in a lake in Lan Dinh village.
It is known that on January 31 (the 3rd day of Tet), H was taken by relatives to visit his grandparents.
