On the evening of January 15, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of Ho Chi Minh City Police said it had just guided 87 people to escape the fire at the Mizuki Park Nam Long apartment building, Binh Hung commune, Binh Chanh district.

According to initial information, at 7:23 p.m. the same day, PC07 received a report of a fire breaking out on the 3rd floor, block MP3 of Mizuki Park Nam Long apartment building. At this time, the fire alarm rang, hundreds of residents ran down the stairs. Smoke then spread to many apartments.

Upon receiving the news, PC07 mobilized the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of District 8 Police, Binh Chanh District, Fire Fighting Team of Area 1 and the Special Elite Police Team of PC07 to the scene to put out the fire. Upon arrival, the fire was extinguished by the local forces.

At the scene, many fire trucks, ladder trucks, and ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

Due to the heavy smoke, the elite Special Police Team deployed modern equipment to extract the smoke and directly guided 87 people out safely.

Initially, authorities determined the cause was an electrical short circuit in the electrical cabinet. The police are continuing to investigate.
