On the night of July 29, the leader of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department firefighting and rescue - Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, reported that a large fire occurred in Van Thang commune, Van Ninh district, burning down the entire storage warehouse of an incense-making facility.
Earlier, according to reports from residents, around 8 PM on July 29, smoke was detected coming from the warehouse of Mrs. Huynh Thi Trinh's family. A few minutes later, the fire broke out, and with the wind, it quickly spread.
Mrs. Trinh's family warehouse mainly stored materials for incense production, which are highly flammable, causing the fire to escalate and become difficult to control.
Upon receiving the report, local authorities along with Van Ninh district police coordinated with professional firefighting forces, dispatching 2 fire trucks and officers to the scene to implement firefighting measures.
However, the narrow terrain of the fire area, the lack of nearby fire hydrants, and the widespread fire made firefighting efforts challenging. Many nearby residents helped extinguish the fire using household firefighting equipment. It wasn't until 11 PM on July 29 that the fire was brought under control, with the entire warehouse area completely burned down.
It is known that the burned warehouse area is 300m2, and the property damage is significant. On July 30, authorities will conduct an inventory of the damaged property and carry out professional measures to investigate the cause of the fire.
