At about 5 am this morning, March 31, in hamlet 11, Duc Khe village, Huong Son commune (Hanoi), a fire occurred at a large-scale confectionery production workshop.
As soon as the fire was detected, people and local forces quickly alerted, and at the same time deployed initial firefighting measures to control the fire and limit damage.
Initial information from witnesses at the scene, the fire broke out strongly and is at risk of spreading due to the warehouse containing many flammable materials.
Faced with that situation, the on-site force including commune police, militia and local people actively implemented the "4 on-site" motto, organized initial firefighting, and urgently relocated property and supported neighboring households to prevent the fire from spreading to residential areas.
At about 5:20 am, the Fire and Rescue Police force was present at the scene, quickly deploying a fire fighting formation.
A total of 12 specialized vehicles and more than 50 officers and soldiers were mobilized. Lieutenant Colonel Vu Duc Hung - Deputy Head of the Fire and Rescue Police Department (Hanoi City Police) directly commanded.
Immediately after receiving the information, leaders of Huong Son commune were also present at the scene, directly directing and coordinating with the Fire and Rescue Police force to organize firefighting and maintain security and order.



By about 6:40 am on the same day, the fire was basically under control, preventing the fire from spreading to the surrounding residential area. Cooling, extinguishing embers and site inspection work continued to be deployed to prevent the risk of fire returning.
Initial determination shows that no casualties have been recorded. Property damage is being statistically assessed and evaluated by functional agencies.
The cause of the fire is being urgently investigated and clarified by functional forces according to regulations.
The incident shows the effectiveness of the "4 on-site" motto in handling fires and explosions at the facility, helping to limit damage from the beginning.
Functional agencies recommend that people and production facilities need to raise fire prevention awareness, regularly check electrical systems, heat sources and equip initial fire fighting equipment.
