At noon on December 14, Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quy Nhon Ward (Gia Lai Province) - said that the authorities had controlled and completely extinguished the fire that broke out at house number 33, 31/3/3 Street (intersection with Tran Hung Dao Street, Quarter 16.).

According to initial reports, the fire broke out at around 9:50 a.m. at a 3-storey house at the above address. The fire broke out fiercely on the first floor, accompanied by many explosions, black smoke rose up, engulfing all 3 floors and many adjacent houses and shops.

After receiving the report, the authorities mobilized vehicles and human resources to approach the scene and deploy a fire extinguishing plan. At around 10:15, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan, the authorities demolished the iron gate to approach and control the fire, preventing the fire from spreading. Through working with the homeowner, the house was used as an office item (idesigned with traffic safety signs, works, warehouses, etc.), with no residents, so there were no human casualties. At the time of the fire, the homeowner had just left for about 10 minutes. The initial cause was believed to be an electrical short circuit.

At 11am the same day, a protective rope was put on the scene area to serve the investigation. The first floor had completely burned down furniture, the walls were covered with black smoke, and many items outside were damaged. The authorities continue to investigate, clarify the cause and count the damage.
