Fire in a 5-storey building of a company in the center of Ho Chi Minh City, suspected to be due to an electrical short circuit

HCMC - On the evening of September 26, Cau Ong Lanh Ward Police extinguished the fire and are investigating the cause of the incident.

Initial information, at around 4:00 p.m. on September 26, smoke and fire suddenly issued from a 5-storey house on Tran Hung Dao Street, Cau Ong Lanh Ward. Discovering the fire, people shouted and used mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful.

After that, the people immediately reported to the police.

After receiving the report, the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC07) dispatched many fire trucks and dozens of soldiers and officers to the scene to put out the fire.

About 10 minutes later, the fire was extinguished.

A representative of Cau Ong Lanh Ward said that the fire was initially determined to be suspected to be caused by an electrical short circuit. The burnt house is a company but is no longer in operation. This person also said that because the fire was located in the center, near the PC07 headquarters, many fire trucks were quickly mobilized to the scene.

Currently, the cause and damage from the fire are being investigated and clarified by the police.
