According to a quick report from the People's Committee of Hoang Que ward, at about 11:30 am on January 13, 2026, at Workshop No. 1, sub-camp No. 1, Quang Ninh Prison (Tan Lap area, Hoang Que ward), a workshop fire occurred.
Immediately after receiving the information, Hoang Que Ward Police coordinated with civil defense forces and prison officers to urgently deploy fire fighting plans, move property, and organize forces to approach the scene to put out the fire.
By about 1:30 pm on the same day, the fire was basically controlled and completely extinguished, preventing the fire from spreading to neighboring areas.
The incident did not cause any casualties, but the entire Factory No. 1 with an area of about 500m2 was burned down; Factory No. 2 for vocational training was partially burned down.
Currently, local functional agencies are coordinating with Quang Ninh Prison to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire.
