On the afternoon of August 18, information from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) said that after a period of suspension of operation to implement the Repair Project, runways, and taxiways, the CAAV issued a decision to restore the runways and taxiways at Lien Khuong International Airport to operation from 00:00 on August 19, 2026 (local time).
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requests Lien Khuong International Airport to be responsible for organizing the management and operation of runways and taxiways to ensure aviation safety and service quality, meeting operating standards according to regulations.
At the same time, organize the maintenance of the project according to regulations; update the above contents into the relevant document system at Lien Khuong International Airport and notify the above contents to airlines, agencies, and related units to coordinate in operating operations at the Airport to ensure safety and efficiency.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam also requested the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation to be responsible for notifying domestic and international aviation news in accordance with current regulations. At the same time, directing the Southern Air Traffic Management Company to organize flight operations to ensure safety, regulation, and efficiency.
In addition, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requested the Southern Airport Authority to inspect and supervise the operation of Lien Khuong International Airport to ensure flight safety according to its functions, tasks and legal regulations.
