On August 18, the Department of Industry and Trade of Dak Lak province informed that in the past 3 days, at the Durian Festival being held, localities including Krong Pak, Cu M'gar, Krong Nang and the Online Market at the Provincial Product Display Area have organized 8 livestream sessions selling durian.
In total, livestream sessions attracted more than 2 million views, closed more than 5,570 orders, consumed more than 27.8 tons of durian, with total revenue of more than 2.835 billion VND.
In which, Krong Nang is a locality with outstanding livestream activities, when organizing 4 sales sessions, attracting nearly 650,000 views, closing more than 5,000 orders, consuming more than 24 tons of durian and achieving revenue of about 2.4 billion VND.
These figures show that livestreaming is becoming a trade promotion channel capable of creating actual orders, instead of just stopping at image promotion.

Not only durian, at the provincial product display area, livestream sessions also introduce and promote 21 types of products of local businesses, cooperatives and business households. Through this, the model is expanded from one key product to many groups of typical products of the province.
In Ea Knuec, the locality has developed a separate plan for the program "Each commune a KOL, KOC selling durian online" with the theme "Ea Knuec durian - Delicious from the garden, standard to the hand".
According to the plan, the livestream session is expected to be held on August 23 at a durian garden in Tan Binh village. Participants include provincial leaders, commune leaders, KOL, KOC, garden owners, cooperatives, businesses and technical support teams, sales, order closing, packaging and transportation.
Mr. Truong Van Hieu, Vice Chairman of Ea Knuec Commune People's Committee, said that the locality sets a target for the livestream session to last 2-3 hours, reach about 150,000 people, reach 40,000-55,000 views, 2,000 comments, 1,000-1,500 shares, finalize 500-800 orders and consume about 10-20 tons of durian.
Products participating in online sales are guaranteed quality by the locality, with traceability; suppliers must prepare sufficient output, publicize selling prices, have packaging warehouses, transportation units and order handling plans immediately after livestreaming.
In the program, KOL, KOC and garden owners, representatives of cooperatives will introduce planting area codes, VietGAP, GlobalGAP standards, care processes and product origins. Durians are chopped and tasted directly so that viewers have more information before deciding to buy goods.
Other localities are also preparing for the next livestream sessions during the Dak Lak Durian Festival 2026.
