On the afternoon of April 3, a leader of Viet Xuyen Commune People's Committee said that an incident had just occurred in the area where an old man died from being bitten by a German Shepherd dog. The victim is Mr. Dang Huu Q (83 years old, residing in Phuc Loc village, Viet Xuyen commune).
The incident happened on the afternoon of April 2nd when Mr. Q went to the captive area to feed his family's German Shepherd dog. While approaching, the dog weighing about 40 kg suddenly lost its chain and aggressively rushed to attack the owner.
Although he was taken to the emergency room by his family, due to his severe injuries, Mr. Q died. Fearing danger to others, the neighbor beat this German Shepherd dog to death.
Upon receiving the news, representatives of local authorities visited and expressed condolences to the victim's family, and at the same time advised on caution when raising dogs, avoiding negligence that would cause dogs to attack homeowners and people.
