On April 14, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang inspected the site clearance, temporary accommodation arrangement and progress of two key projects, Tran Hung Dao bridge and Tu Lien bridge in Hong Ha ward.
Site clearance work reaches over 95%
According to the report of Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Hong Ha ward Bui Tuan Anh, up to this point, site clearance for the two projects has reached over 95%. The ward sets a goal to complete the entire site handover before May 15. Along with that, the resettlement housing fund has been fully prepared by the ward, ready for people to move to new residences, ensuring stable living conditions after relocation.
However, in the process of implementation, there are still some recommendations and concerns from people related to support mechanisms and policies. Hong Ha Ward is continuing to summarize to report to the City People's Committee for consideration and timely removal, thereby ensuring the legitimate rights of households in the land acquisition area.
After listening to reports at the scene, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang and grassroots officials went to each residential area, met with households subject to land acquisition to visit, listen to their thoughts and mobilize people to agree to relocate.
Putting the project into operation on schedule
On the side of the project implementing unit, Mr. Nguyen Nam Thuy - Head of the Tran Hung Dao Bridge Project Management Board said that the necessary conditions for construction have been prepared. Currently, the unit is completing procedures to receive land at the important span of the main bridge, which is pier TC1. Machinery, equipment and manpower have all entered a state of readiness to deploy construction immediately.
The contractor is committed to mobilizing maximum manpower and equipment, and will organize construction as soon as there is land available, striving to complete the project in the second quarter of 2027.
Construction to where, neat to that point
At the inspection, Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Dai Thang praised the efforts of localities, investors and construction units in overcoming difficulties and sticking to the progress.
Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee emphasized that Tu Lien bridge and Tran Hung Dao bridge are not only two isolated traffic projects, but also contribute to solving major infrastructure bottlenecks of the Capital, opening up new development space, creating momentum for the entire area on both sides of the Red River.
From that practical requirement, the head of the city government requested relevant parties to coordinate more closely, focusing on thoroughly handling each task, not allowing congestion at any stage. In which, the locality must accelerate the progress of site clearance, immediately handing over the completed area to the contractor. The investor and construction unit must review each time milestone, specifically count each task to closely follow the overall progress, ensuring practical efficiency, not just completion in form.
One content that the Chairman of the City People's Committee especially noted is the environmental issue during construction. For large projects located near residential areas, the risk of dust, dirt, noise, and impact on people's lives is very clear if the construction site is not strictly managed.
Chairman of Hanoi City People's Committee requested units to strictly implement the spirit of "construction to where, neat to that"; at the same time, strictly control the transportation of materials, waste and the entire construction process at the site to minimize negative impacts on people's living environment.
Chairman of the City People's Committee Vu Dai Thang emphasized the responsibility of the entire political system at the grassroots level and related units to make maximum efforts to ensure that people benefit from development; and at the same time requested that site clearance must be handed over immediately as soon as it is completed; contractors and investors need to be determined to implement the set timelines correctly; all tasks must be closely monitored to ensure that the two projects are put into operation in the second quarter of 2027.
