On October 30, the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province announced that it had issued a plan to organize activities to celebrate the Party and Spring 2025, quite early compared to many provinces and cities across the country.
Notably, according to the plan, there will be a fireworks display to celebrate the New Year's Eve of the Lunar New Year of At Ty 2025, scheduled to take place at 11:00 p.m. on January 28, 2025 (December 29) in Bac Lieu city right after the Spring art program.
Regarding fireworks displays in districts and towns, the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Military Command to preside over and coordinate with localities to review and report on funding sources, locations, number of artillery units and related contents. Consult with neighboring provinces, report to the staff, and propose to the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for approval before implementation.
According to the plan to celebrate the Party and celebrate Spring 2025 of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province, this province will have many activities such as: Trade fair, OCOP product exhibition; New Year art program associated with launching the emulation movement to celebrate the 28th anniversary of the province's re-establishment.
Build the Tao Quan program; rural markets on Tet holiday; display books, newspapers, news and art photos; folk dance and modern dance festivals; meetings of fellow countrymen and outstanding individuals... Organize activities to care for families with meritorious services, people with meritorious services, poor and near-poor households.
Previously, at the 19th session of the Bac Lieu Provincial People's Council held on October 14, a resolution was passed to amend and supplement the resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the public investment plan for 2024, allocating more than 25 billion VND of the local budget capital investment plan reserve in 2024 from the increased lottery revenue in 2023 for 2 project categories. In particular, the project to replace the lighting system of the city's roads; replace old high-pressure lamps and sodium lamps with LED lights on the city's roads, with a total cost of 19.5 billion VND.
Every year, Bac Lieu province also spends more than 20 billion VND to decorate to help people celebrate spring and Tet.
