On May 2nd, Kim Long Commune People's Committee (HCMC) said that although many people from various forces have been mobilized to participate in the search, the case of a person suspected of missing in the Da Den Lake area on May 1st has not yet yielded positive results.
According to initial information, on the morning of May 1st, a group of people moved by car to the Da Den Lake area to row a sup boat - a water sports, players on boards use single paddles to move on the water surface, common in the lake and sea.
After rowing across the bank to visit and take photos, on the way back to the starting point, the person in front turned back and did not see a person who was already walking behind, so they quickly reported to the authorities.
Mr. Do Chi Khoi - Chairman of Kim Long Commune People's Committee - said that immediately after receiving the information, functional agencies quickly arrived at the scene, deploying specialized vehicles to organize the search. The person suspected of being missing was identified as Mr. K.H.S (65 years old, Korean nationality) who is the director of a business operating in Ngai Giao commune. The search process took place from May 1, but by the morning of May 2, there were still no results.
It is known that Da Den Lake is an important artificial water reservoir in the East of Ho Chi Minh City, with a basin area of about 149km2, a storage capacity of about 33.4 million m3 of water. This lake is located in the area of many communes and wards such as Ngai Giao, Kim Long... and regularly attracts people and tourists to fish, swim, and participate in water sports activities.
