The scientific conference with the theme "Lai Chau Ginseng - Quintessence of the Northwest Highlands" is scheduled to take place on September 19-20, gathering about 300 delegates, including many international experts (Japan, Korea), scientists, businesses and investors.
On September 4, Mr. Ha Trong Hai - Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to discuss the preparation for organizing the scientific conference "Lai Chau Ginseng - Quintessence of the Northwest Highlands".
According to the plan, the workshop will be held at the Lai Chau Provincial Conference - Culture Center in a direct combined online form.
The event is expected to have the participation of experts from Korea, Japan; representatives of central ministries and sectors, research institutes, universities, and businesses, investors inside and outside the province.
The conference content focused on assessing the potential, mechanisms, policies and research results on Lai Chau Ginseng; sharing experiences in developing raw material areas, deep processing technology and promoting links between the State, scientists and businesses.
Notably, the workshop is expected to include activities to sign memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements on investment and development of medicinal herb areas.
On the sidelines of the event, there is an exhibition of ginseng, medicinal herbs, OCOP products; activities in response to the 2026 Innovative Startup Day, art programs and cultural exchanges of ethnic groups.
Mr. Ha Trong Hai emphasized that the workshop is of great significance in concretizing Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee, contributing to promoting the Lai Chau Ginseng brand and creating opportunities to promote local socio-economic development.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested units to urgently complete the preparation work, review guests, ensure the quality of presentations and coordinate to organize a solemn, safe, economical and effective workshop.
