At 8:00 PM on February 24, during a patrol, Do Luong Commune Police, Nghe An province received a report that a female citizen showed signs of suicide on Do Luong bridge.
Immediately, the task force of Do Luong Commune Police urgently arrived at the scene and successfully advised and intervened, promptly preventing the unfortunate action.
After taking the citizen to the commune police headquarters, the working group cordially inquired, encouraged and verified information.
The victim was identified as N.T. M (born in 2010, residing in Tan An commune, Nghe An province). After that, Do Luong Commune Police coordinated with relevant units and contacted the family to bring the citizen home.
However, due to bad weather conditions late at night (rainy and strong winds), the victim's family faced many difficulties in moving due to poor circumstances and lack of transportation. Faced with this situation, the Commander of Do Luong Commune Police decided to send forces to directly bring citizens to their families on a rainy and windy night, ensuring safety and handing them over to their families.
Through exchange, it was learned that because of difficult life and personal issues, M. intended to commit suicide.
The timely intervention of Do Luong Commune Police received deep gratitude and appreciation from the victim's family and relatives who wrote thank you letters.
